The Martial Artist: My Very First Serious Warrior for WHQ

Please post any comments, questions, and etc. concerning the Martial Artist as a separate topic or under an existing related topic in the Martial Artist forum. (edit {12 April 2009}: there are no specific custom Warrior forums anymore -- I did some housekeeping. emoticon

Not only am I partial to the Martial Artist (my own creation for WHQ), but I also kinda like his School of Martial Arts that is open for business in settlements all over the Old World, where many types of characters may go to try to improve their martial skills -- sorry no strictly wizard or mage types, though a Wizard's Apprentice and an Elf Ranger Knight (not mage) are welcome. I'll have to think about the halflings though. emoticon

I created this warrior for at least three reasons:

1. I love the physical art of martial arts fighting movements.

2. This was my first idea for creating my own character to add to the Museum (though I had partially created my own hobbit/halfling warriors years ago -- lost in the rush of real life).

3. I thought it would be good to have a somewhat mystical, meditation type of warrior that could help heal a warrior party whenever he was not busy demonstrating his fighting prowess versus all sorts of monsters. He is not the best of healers, because he cannot heal while he fights, but he is a superb healer when the combat is over, or if he can refrain from fighting long enough to meditate a little.

The Martial Artist is more agile than the Wardancer. His fighting skills put him in a class of his own. He is a natural in unarmed combat and is proficient in the use of martial arts specific weaponry. Please see his full documentation for all the glorious details. emoticon

Anyone may read the full rules for this warrior at the following url:

quote:

His great master, who taught him many things, was ambushed by an alliance of evil creatures. There were just too many of them. He arrived too late to help his master, but is now bound by his master's dying words to honor and avenge him of all such evil beings. He is very agile, very fast, and very skilled. Make way for the Martial Artist! He will add flavor to any WHQ adventuring party. Also, the School of Martial Arts could make many a warrior's stay in town .. a bit more interesting.
