Virtual WHQ Settlements?
Oh boy, I now have another idea. I am thinking of creating an html virtual settlement in which players can click on images for the various stores and Special Locations. The new page for each link would then show what is available at each location. Of course, there is a big flaw with such a virtual settlement: the image representing a Special Location would only be a mirage if it could not be found by any warriors that could normally visit that special location. lol
Again, something like this would take a bit of time, but perhaps I can do it eventually. For now though, I think the priority should be to finish the bulk of my new mapping method's images (including the Monster Image Gallery, with tool-tips that actually work for everyone, hopefully).

Re: Virtual WHQ Settlements?
You could amend the way WHQ works a little and pre-roll to see if all the buildings are there or not, then turn them on or off depending.
Essentially making the roll into an "is it there" roll rather than a "can you find it".

Re: Virtual WHQ Settlements?
Now, you really have me thinking again. Such an idea, though helpful for a virtual environment, this might remove the possibility of a warrior wasting a day just looking for something.
Of course, I could also modify the Catastrophic Events to make them happen on a random number of days (secret number known only by the GM, though still allowing plenty of time to train before one would be possiblt) so that no one really knows how long they have before being overtaken by one.
I will try to give this more thought along the way...
Thanks for the idea, SD.

Re: Virtual WHQ Settlements?
anyway to increment the catastrophic events after each establishment visited? and i would like an additional service like a flat fee guide or guard in town that will give you a chance to escape from those dillemas. but it'll cost!

Re: Virtual WHQ Settlements?
Yes, something like D6+2 days (excluding training).. Most warriors tend to get everything done in two-three days, and spend the rest of the time just hanging around anyway - but when you need to achieve something...
On second thoughts maybe not exclude training... but then I'm quite evil - and you'd probably have to think about re balancing those warriors that don't need to spend a week training as they may have an unfair advantage.
